A high throughput microfluidic device to analyze leukocye deformability

Dolomite microfluidics designed and produced for us custom made, high throughput, microfluidic quartz chips and holder allowing applying controlled cell deformation and plasma membrane distortions to analyse the molecular mechanisms controlling shape changes and recovery in leukocytes trafficking in-out capillary nets.
The device is controlled by the computer-operated
BioFlux pump to generate strong, yet fully controlled, pressure allowing cell flowing into microfluidics. Digital movies are recorded and cell deformation is quantified by frame-by-frame image analysis in order to obtain specific metrics expressing kinetics of cell deformability and shape recovery.
